UN AND INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS VISA

Visa Fee

Who are eligible to apply:

Officials and staff members of UN and its affiliated organization, international or regional organizations/bodies, their spouses and their dependent family members who wants to go to Bangladesh for the purpose of employment/official duty (and accompanying/joining principal), they are eligible to apply for "A2" (for principal applicant) and "FA2" (for family member) visa. If the applicant apply for family member, must provide a document such as copies of marriage certificate for proofing of spouse or birth certificate for children.

Original Note Verbal / Official Letter from the UN or its affiliated organization, international or regional organizations/bodies mentioning the applicant's position, passport number, duration of stay and purpose of visit in Bangladesh and the date of joining in the concern Organization in Bangladesh. Any direct communication from Dhaka will not be accepted, which must come via Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka.

Duration of visa:

UN & IO "A2" Visa may be issued for a maximum of three (03) years with multiple entries. Duration of stay in this category of visa is as required in each visit.

Extension of visa:

Extension up to five (05) years could be obtained from the "Department of Immigration and Passport" (DIP) in Bangladesh as per recommendation of concern Organization in Bangladesh.
