H.E. Mr. Muhammad Imran is currently serving as Ambassador of Bangladesh to the United States of America (since September 2022). Ambassador Muhammad Imran is a career foreign service officer belonging to the 1986 batch of the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Foreign Affairs cadre. In his diplomatic career, Ambassador Imran has served in various capacities both at the Headquarters as well as in Bangladesh Missions abroad.

Ambassador Muhammad Imran is a graduate from Mymensingh Medical College (under Dhaka University). He later obtained a Diploma in Development Diplomacy from Germany and completed a course on Humanitarian Law from International Institute of Humanitarian Law at San Remo, Italy. He has a keen interest in history, literature and geography. Ambassador Imran is married to Dr Zakia Hasnat Imran and blessed with two daughters. |
