Visa Fee

Who are eligible to apply:

A Missionary / Chaplain / Priest who appointed in a church/pagoda/institution registered in Bangladesh, is eligible to apply for this kind of visa.

The applicant must submit a recommendation/appointment letter given by the concerned religious mission/institution/church and the letter of recommendation/consent of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Bangladesh with the application.

Duration of visa:

A Missionary "M" Visa may be issued for a maximum of six (06) months with a multiple entry. Duration of stay in this category is as required.

Extension of visa:

In case of extension of visa period, upon the recommendation given by the concerned religious mission/institution, the consent of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the security clearance of Special Branch of Police (SB), the "Department Immigration and Passport" (DIP) in Bangladesh may extend the duration of the visa up to 05 (five) years including multiple entries or working period, whichever is less. However, a work permit will not be required in case of extension of visa period.
